I traveled through the Yukon by way of the Alaska Highway. I had a certain idea in my head of what the Yukon would be like. There is more life there than I expected. It seems as though many people travel this route. Most people have campers and RVs. That seems to be the way to go. If you get tired, you simply pull to the side of road and take a snooze.

Here is an excerpt from my journal about the Yukon:

"17 of June 2006

"...I forgot to mention the fox family we saw yesterday. I didn't get a picture of the pups. But, they were adorable. We also saw big buffalo out along the road. No fence!

"The Yukon is kind of sandy and looks more like the desert than British Columbia did. Lots of mountains, beautiful lakes."
