I traveled to Ireland in October of 2001. Of the places in Europe I have been, Ireland is among my favorites. It is a country of passionate and friendly people.

At one point I was walking down the street of Limerick and and older gentleman stopped me and said that I looked familiar. He asked if we had met before. I informed him that I had just arrived the day before, it was unlikely that we had met. We proceeded to talk for about 15 minutes as if we had known each other for quite some time. A small town atmosphere in a good sized country.
